LIV YOU SELF-CARE COACHING

LIV You provides coaching services to women that support their minds, bodies, and spirits. We believe in women taking care of themselves through self-care, self-love, self-actualization, and all things promoting a woman caring for herself and those around her. Schedule your coaching session focusing on mental wellness, physical wellness, or spiritual wellness with one of our coaches.

What is Self-Care Coaching?

Self-Care Coaching is a process where a coach helps individuals focus on taking care of themselves so they can live structured and stable lives within the nine dimensions of wellness (physical, mental, emotional, social, environmental, occupational, intellectual, spirituality, and financial). Whereby individuals assess themselves in the nine dimensions of wellness, the coach uses the assessment results to help the individual identify barriers and set goals on what they want to achieve to improve, and the individual carries out the actions to reach their goals all with the support of a coach. Therefore, it is important to note that coaching is not therapy.

LIV You Self-Care Coaching currently focuses on 3 specific areas:
     
     1. 
Mental Wellness 
  • A state of well-being in which individuals realize their own abilities to care for themselves and others
  • Ability to cope with normal stresses of life
  • Ability to work productively and fruitfully
  • Ability to make positive contributions to the community
   
     2.
Physical Wellness 
  • Care of our physical bodies and spaces (home or work environment) for optimal health and function

     3. Spiritual Wellness 
  • A connection to something greater than yourself
  • Live a life consistent with one’s own belief and moral systems
  • Establish Feeling of purpose and finding meaning in life​

Is Self-Care Coaching for you?

LIV You’s belief is that each individual is their own greatest asset. As such, they should invest in their personal wellness. We provide Self-Care Coaching to women that support their minds, bodies, and spirits. We teach self-care tools that allow women to create healthy habits to help improve their mental, physical, and spiritual wellness so that they can start or continue to lead healthy lifestyles.

How does Self-Care Coaching work?

The Self-Care Coaching program is generally four contact hours over a 6-week period for weekly sessions and 10-weeks for bi-weekly sessions. There is an initial and the final session, each held for one hour and four on-going coaching sessions in between, each held for 30-minutes.
1. Determine Coaching Need
During your FREE 15-minute consultation, the role of the coach is to review your previously completed wellness assessment, confer with you, and determine need. The coach will: 
  • Examine current self-care behavior using your completed Wellness Assessment 
  • Identify a specific wellness area (mental, physical, or spiritual) to focus upon
2. Develop the Coaching Agreement ​
You and the coach will develop a coaching agreement during the initial coaching session. This helps the coach outline the desired outcome, healthier lifestyle behaviors that you can ease into and consistently perform. The agreement allows for a clear understanding of the purpose of the coaching process and agree on goals and approach. This agreement will include: 
  • The expectations and ground rules for the coaching relationship.
  • Define an improvement opportunity 
  • Establish an achievable goal to change the behavior client wishes to address through the coaching process
  • Walk client through a process to visualize desired outcome
  • Develop a plan to execute 
  • This agreement is updated during the course of the engagement

3. During the coaching period
The role of the coach is to support you by providing the tools for assessment and by supporting the learning process. The coach will: 
  • Clarify key beliefs and behavior patterns using personal history and critical incidents.
  • Understand assumptions and personal dynamics underlying behavior patterns.
  • Assess the system of expectations, supports and pressures that constitute the client’s immediate context.
  • Reflect with you on your experiences and continuous commitment.

Coaching sessions may include: 
  • Exercises to build awareness of current behavior patterns.
  • Identifying options for alternative mental models and behavior patterns.
  • Practice and feedback on alternative behavior patterns.
  • Determining development strategies.

Meet our Self-Care Coaches

LIV You Coaches have professional experience helping people clarify goals, identify wellness barriers, and develop strategies to manage or remove barriers in order to help the client improve their health, relationship with self and others, homes, careers, and day-to-day lives. And have gone through the LIV You’s Women’s Self-Care Coaching Training & Certification Program, were certified Coaches are:
  • Knowledgeable about the nine wellness dimensions ((physical, mental, emotional, social, environmental, occupational, intellectual, spiritual, and financial) and how to make improvements in each dimension
  • Aware of the importance of focusing on women’s self-care
  • Practicing at least one self-care routine they created during the training course
  • Able to design a realistic plan to establish and obtain goals, learn to be accountable for their actions, and reflect on goal achievement process once plan is complete
  • Equipped to apply Self-Care Coaching to women in their personal and professional life, the community, and organizations.
